Welcome...

Welcome to the Sellrainer mountains between the Ötztal in the West, the Wipp- and the Stubai valley in the East, the Inn valley in the North, and the Sulz valley in the South.

The high peaks of the Stubai Alps in the south of the Karwendel and the Mieminger Alps to north, is a beautiful view.

A half an hour by car from Innsbruck, you will find small villages, many of the quiet valleys Sellrains, and the front Ötztal.
Mountain ranges with 3000 meter invite climbers and mountain hikers for treeking.

To Sellrain includes the villages of Kematen, Oberperfuss, Sellrain, Gries and St. Sigmund. The largest tributary is the Lüsens valley, which branches off from Gries to the south, with Narötz, Praxmar and Lüsens.
From St. Sigmund from the road leads over the Kühtaisattel (2020 m) to Hochötz and the Ötztal. Here are the villages Ötz, Umhausen Niedertai, Längenfeld and Gries in Sulz valley, inviting to relax and rest.

A wonderful natural landscape without lifts, cars and noise instead silence and relaxation. Especially in the two rest areas of the Sellrains: with the Stubai Alps and the rest area Kalkkögel with his unique, reminiscent of the Dolomites, mountain peaks.

In this wild landscape live many animals in the Alps.

The way from montain hute to montain hute with beautiful mountain climbing are characterized by clear mountain streams, small lakes and picturesque, with cyclamen, alproses and many other mountain flowered terraces.

Nice plaze to rest, the mountain huts.

Again and again to impress the glaciers and vast tracks that shape the landscape since the last ice age. Its current decline is clearly visible and provides an impressive example of global climate change.
